Post-Graduate Clinical Supervision
As an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor, I am both qualified and passionate about offering individual and group supervision. With over six years of licensure, I am here to guide and support licensure candidates for Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
My Philosophy of Supervision
Supervision, to me, is a dynamic and reciprocal journey. It's not just about what I can teach you—it's about what we can learn from each other. I encourage you to challenge me, and yes, that might sound a bit unconventional, but I believe growth happens in the process. If something isn’t resonating with you, let me know. We can pivot together or lean into the challenge to sharpen your clinical and professional skills. Supervision is one of my greatest joys, and I’m committed to creating an environment where your voice is valued and your growth is nurtured.
My Approach
My approach to supervision mirrors my approach to therapy: eclectic and inclusive. Everything that shapes your identity as a therapist belongs in our supervision space, including:
-
Case consultations
-
Person of the Therapist (POTT) issues
-
Education on models, theories, and interventions
-
Starting and running a private practice
-
Preparing for the MFT exam
-
Experiential learning opportunities
-
Mindfulness and meditation practices
-
And anything else you need to bring to the table that day
Clinical Identity Formation for Marginalized Identities
Developing your clinical voice can be a powerful yet complex journey for clinicians from marginalized identities. I understand the unique challenges that come with navigating the therapy world while honoring your cultural, racial, gender, and other intersecting identities. In supervision, we will explore how your identity shapes your clinical practice, helps you connect with clients, and impacts how you show up in the room. My aim is to support you in embracing your full self as a therapist, turning what society may see as "different" into a source of strength and resilience in your clinical identity. Together, we’ll create a safe space for you to reflect, grow, and thrive as the unique clinician you are.
By the end of our supervision journey, my goal is for you to feel confident in your abilities, supported in your work, and balanced in your self-care. Supervision with me is designed to push you—sometimes beyond your comfort zone—but the result is a more refined and empowered clinician. I have experience supervising a diverse range of clinicians, from interns to seasoned professionals. As a person of color, I also bring a unique perspective to our work, encouraging a deep exploration of cultural factors that may influence your therapeutic practice.
Individual Supervision
I currently offer individual supervision sessions tailored to your schedule. Sessions are $100 per clinical hour, and I typically schedule them in two-hour blocks (1.5 hours on the clock), meeting twice a month or weekly clinical hours meetings.
Group Supervision
In addition to individual supervision, I also offer group supervision. Group supervision is an enriching opportunity to learn from peers, gain diverse perspectives, and build a supportive professional community. Whether you are a new therapist or further along your journey, group supervision provides a collaborative environment to explore clinical cases, share experiences, and grow together.
Group supervision sessions are scheduled monthly and limited to a small number of participants to ensure meaningful engagement. Each session is $75 per clinician, and the group typically meets for 2 hours. Group supervision fosters personal and professional growth, creating a space for connection and collective learning. If you and a group of 4-5 of your peers are interested in participating in a supervision group, feel free to schedule a Zoom consultation call to determine if we are all a good fit because group dynamics are vital to the success of group supervision.
Getting Started
If you’re interested in beginning individual or group supervision, the process starts with a 20-minute phone interview. Following that, we’ll schedule a 45-50-minute Zoom meeting to explore whether we’re a good fit for each other. Afterward, I like to give us both a few days to reflect before making a final decision. If I believe we’re a good match for supervision, I’ll extend an invitation to begin, and if you feel the same, I’d be thrilled to have you join me.
